Issy qualified in 2000 from King’s College London. Since graduating she has worked in several NHS settings at a senior level, specialising firstly in trauma and orthopaedics, then splitting her time between private and NHS settings treating musculoskeletal injuries. She has worked in semi- professional rugby. Her specialist interests include neck, upper limb and hand injuries. Issy is our lead clinician, she set up the practice after noticing a lack of quality in the private sector of physio. After hearing one too many times “physios just give exercises” she made the leap from the NHS to change people’s opinion by offering a high quality hands-on service she knew physios could do.

In 2017, Issy completed her masters in advanced diagnostics allowing her to interpret and order scans, blood tests and a range of diagnostic “doctor-things”. In over 20 years, she has seen a high volume of patients ranging from complex issues and post op rehab to little niggles. Her sunny nature means she often cheers up her clients and gives them a gentle push to get better. She has 2 sporty teenagers so is great with kids and their injuries.

Fiona qualified in 2003 from Coventry University. Fiona works at Nutwood and the regional specialist hand centre for the NHS.  She sees a range of complex hand trauma and elective surgery – no severity of injury phases her.   She has expert splinting skills and experience with wound care, scar management and rehab.

At present, she is working towards her hand therapist accreditation. Her specialist areas of interest include all aspects of hand injury/elective procedures and treatment of the neurological conditions affecting the hand.  Fi has two young children so she is great with kids when injured.   She is a keen skier and loves her boot camps. Fi is straight talking northerner who will lead you through your rehab encouraging you to get better whilst making sure the advice is safe to protect your injured or painful hand.

Florence qualified in 2015 at Birmingham University but her career started at age 16 when she joined Issy for work experience. Issy spotted how switched on and sparky she was and has since supported her through the university, and junior rotations and eventually convinced her to jump from the NHS and join us permanently. At uni, Flo qualified as a massage therapist (all whilst studying for a physio degree) and can offer stand-alone massage appointments. She has worked in a busy outpatient department seeing a high volume of patients, She has worked in elderly rehab in the community treating a range of balance, strength and rehab issues. She has also worked in semi professional rugby. Flo’s expertise is in movement analysis, finding what’s not working or overworking and impacting on why injuries occur or don’t settle. Her clinical interest areas are lumbar spine and lower limb.

Flo has the cutest little twins and she can mainly be found on a horse competing in dressage – she has a large clientele of equestrian patients who love her in depth understanding of their needs. Lastly in her wealth of skills, Flo is a pilates instructor, she offers 1-1 physio led pilates, will often add an element of pilates to your homework and runs small classes in local locations
